Come and meet the alpacas at Five Gates Farm
Your two hour experience at Five Gates Farm will give you the opportunity to relax and unwind in a beautiful coastal setting with stunning views of Kapiti Island and the Tararua mountain range. You will learn how we manage our 10 acre small holding to grow sustainable produce and care for our animals.
Get up close and personal to hand-feed our herd of 18 alpacas in the paddocks, spending time to get to know these amazing animals and learn all about their history, habits and how each of them have their own personalities.
On arrival you'll be welcomed by Julie and Paul your hosts, and be introduced to the alpacas. A tour of the farm will include meeting the cows, chickens (and looking for eggs) and meeting our three beagles Oscar, Henry and Sam. You’ll get some great photo opportunities with the animals and stunning views in the background.
The experience ends with a soft drink or tea/coffee and delicious home-baking from the farm kitchen.
